Still, I Rise:

Despite the sleepless nights,
Despite the everyday cries.
Stuck between love and the lover,
Still, I rise, Still, I rise.

Despite the struggles breaking me,
Despite the never-ending tries.
Crushing inside a box of emotions,
Still, I rise, Still, I rise.

Despite the heart that is broken,
Despite the mind that isn’t that wise.
Consoling them that things will be alright,
Still, I rise, Still, I rise.

Despite  the truths that I refuse to accept,
Despite the comforting lies.
Gathering some courage to deal with them,
Still, I rise, Still, I rise.

Despite  the poetries that remind me of you,
Despite this separation that was surely a surprise.
Holding and letting you go at the same time,
Still, I rise, Still, I rise.

Despite the almost death that touches me every night,
Despite my life waiting for its demise.
Convincing myself to live one more day,
Still, I rise, Still, I rise.

Despite the darkness in the skies,
Despite these tearful eyes.
Wandering in search of myself,
Still, I rise, Still, I rise.
